Merchant Acquisition & Management Associate

Our technology runs assortment, pricing, fulfilment and demand signals across every market we sell in. Manufacturers and brands can reach global consumers directly, and consumers get high-quality products at fair prices. We are here to win, and we want people who are committed to the journey.

The Role

Position title: Merchant Acquisition & Management Associate

Location: Maslak, Istanbul, TR

We're looking for a hands-on Associate to help us bring the world's best manufacturers and brands onto Hiccup and help them succeed. You'll be the go-to person for a portfolio of merchants, from the first conversation through onboarding to day-to-day growth. You'll also help us find smarter, tech-driven ways to run the merchant business at scale. If you like working directly with businesses, solving problems quickly and improving how things work, this role is for you.

What You'll Do

• Support merchant acquisition. Research and identify potential manufacturers and brands, reach out, run intro meetings and help move deals to signature.
• Run onboarding for new merchants. Guide them through account creation, catalog upload, product data quality, pricing and go-live, with a smooth experience and no mistakes.
• Manage day-to-day merchant accounts. Be their main point of contact, answer questions and help them understand how Hiccup works and how to grow with us.
• Track merchant performance (sales, catalog health, stock, sell-through), find issues and opportunities, and follow up with clear actions.
• Improve how we work. Spot repetitive or manual steps, suggest creative tech solutions and work with the tech team to test and roll out new tools, automations and processes.
• Build reports and dashboards that give the team and leadership a clear view of the merchant pipeline and portfolio.

What We're Looking For

• 0–2 years of experience. Strong fresh graduates from top universities are welcome, preferably in Engineering, Economics or Business Administration.
• Interest or experience in e-commerce, marketplaces, business development or account management.
• Strong analytical skills with Excel/Sheets. SQL and working literacy in LLMs/AI tools are a plus.
• An optimisation mindset: you look for ways to automate the repetitive parts of your work.
• Strong people skills. You're comfortable talking to business owners, explaining things clearly and building trust.
• A detail-oriented approach with a commitment to zero defects in execution.
• High ownership. You're reliable under deadlines and can juggle several merchants and tasks at once.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Turkish.
• Ability to work from our Maslak, Istanbul office.

What We Offer

• Direct mentorship from seasoned entrepreneurs and exposure to every part of the business
• Real responsibility and your own merchant portfolio from day one
• A fast learning curve and a clear path to grow into a Manager role
• Competitive salary
• A productivity-focused, collaborative environment that encourages initiative and creative thinking
